I've spent enough time with Mirage to know it's a deliberate return to the series' roots, trading the RPG bloat of recent entries for tighter assassination contracts and rooftop traversal. It works reasonably well on Xbox, with fluid parkour and decent stealth mechanics that reward patience over brute force. The core game is solid, if not revolutionary. The Deluxe Edition bundles a few cosmetics (Prince of Persia outfit, weapons, mount skins) and digital extras like an artbook, but none of this moves the needle on gameplay. If Mirage's focused design appeals to you, grab it. If you're burned out on Assassin's Creed, this won't save you.
