What is Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2019?

Microsoft Office Professional Plus 2019 is a perpetual-licence edition of Microsoft's flagship office suite, released by Microsoft on 24 September 2018 alongside Windows Server 2019. Unlike Microsoft 365 (formerly Office 365), it is purchased once and does not require a monthly or annual subscription. It is the commercial-grade tier of the 2019 standalone release, positioned above the consumer "Home & Business" and "Home & Student" editions.
