Sobre Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7 For Windows
What is Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7 for Windows?
Adobe Photoshop Lightroom 5.7 is a desktop photo management and editing application developed by Adobe Systems. It was released in July 2014 as the final point update to the Lightroom 5 series. It is a perpetual-licence release from the era before Adobe's shift toward subscription pricing — though it was not the last perpetual version: Lightroom 6 (April 2015) was also sold as a perpetual licence and is the actual final release in that model. Lightroom 5.7 is an older, self-contained application with no recurring fee once purchased.
This is a Windows-specific release. It is not Lightroom Classic CC or the cloud-based Lightroom, which are subscription products sold today.
What's included
Lightroom 5.7 is a dual-purpose tool: a catalogued photo library manager and a non-destructive RAW editor. Key capabilities in this version include:
- **Library and catalogue management** — import, tag, sort, and filter large photo collections using metadata, collections, and smart folders.
- **Non-destructive editing** — all adjustments (exposure, colour, tone curves, HSL) are stored as instructions; the original file is never altered.
- **Develop module** — full RAW processing pipeline including lens correction, noise reduction, and selective editing with the Radial Filter (new in version 5) and the Graduated Filter (available since Lightroom 1).
- **Healing Brush** — spot removal tool extended in version 5 to work across irregular shapes, not just circular spots.
- **Book, Slideshow, Print, and Web modules** — output modules for creating photo books, presentations, and simple galleries.
- **Camera Raw support** — supports cameras released up to approximately late 2014, via Adobe Camera Raw 8.7 bundled at the time of release. Cameras introduced in 2015 or later are generally not supported.
It does not include AI-powered tools such as Denoise, Subject Masking, or Generative Remove, which were introduced in much later subscription versions.
Licence and activation
Lightroom 5.7 is sold as a perpetual licence: you pay once and own the right to use that specific version indefinitely. It is not tied to an Adobe ID subscription — activation is typically done via a serial number entered during installation, without requiring ongoing cloud connectivity.
Because this is a legacy perpetual product, Adobe's standard retail activation servers still honour valid serials, but Adobe no longer sells or supports this version officially. Keys sold on third-party marketplaces are generally digital delivery — you receive the serial number by email after purchase. Confirm that the listing specifies a full retail licence key (not an OEM or upgrade key) to ensure clean standalone activation.
Is it worth it?
Lightroom 5.7 suits photographers who want a capable, offline RAW workflow without committing to Adobe's monthly subscription. If you shoot with a camera released before roughly 2015, the RAW support will be complete. It remains a genuinely functional tool for organising and editing standard formats like JPEG and TIFF.
The honest caveat: this is a 2014 application. It will not support RAW files from cameras released from 2015 onward, and it lacks every AI-assisted feature added in the years since. Adobe no longer provides security patches or technical support for this version. Note also that Lightroom 6 (2015) offers a newer perpetual-licence alternative with broader camera support, so compare listings if perpetual ownership is the priority.
It is a reasonable choice for budget-conscious photographers with older hardware or legacy camera gear who prefer perpetual ownership. For anyone shooting a camera from 2015 onward, or needing modern AI editing features, the current Lightroom subscription plans or Lightroom 6 are the more practical options.

Preguntas frecuentes
Todo Create & edit — image →Adobe subscription vs a perpetual creative app — which is cheaper?
If you only need design tools occasionally, a perpetual licence (Affinity, CorelDRAW) or a short Creative Cloud term is much cheaper than a full year of Adobe. For daily professional use with the latest features, Creative Cloud makes sense.
Are these creative licences genuine?
We compare offers from established stores. Perpetual licences activate in the vendor app; subscription vouchers redeem in your account. Read the offer for the exact term and edition.
Can I use the software commercially?
Most creative licences permit commercial work, but some education or personal editions do not. Check the licence type in the offer if you need a commercial licence.
