World of Warcraft Mystic Runesaber (DLC)
If you're a WoW mount collector with a soft spot for arcane aesthetics, this purple manasaber is a clean account-wide unlock. Everyone else should ask whether a cosmetic cat justifies the asking price on top of an active subscription.
Veredicto de GamerScout
Solid buy for dedicated WoW mount collectors; a tough sell for anyone questioning cosmetic paywalls on a subscription game.

Acerca de World of Warcraft Mystic Runesaber (DLC)
I'll be straight with you: the Mystic Runesaber is a purely cosmetic flying mount for World of Warcraft, and the entire review lives or dies on whether you care about that sentence. There is no gameplay system here, no questline to complete, no achievement to chase. You buy it, it lands in your mount journal, and every character on your Battle.net account can ride it immediately. That account-wide delivery is genuinely the strongest argument in its favour, especially for players who keep multiple alts active. Visually, the mount is a large armored feline with a vivid purple coat, rune-etched plate, and arcane energy crackling at its paws. When flying conditions allow, translucent wings unfurl from its back, giving it a look that sits comfortably in WoW's high-fantasy register without being garish. It scales with your riding skill as expected, hitting the standard ground and flight speed tiers, so there is no mechanical downside to using it as your everyday mount. The design is polished. It fits the game's aesthetic. That part Blizzard got right. The harder conversation is context. The Runesaber is a cash-shop-exclusive item, meaning it cannot be earned through in-game play, rare drops, or achievement completions. It was introduced during the Warlords of Draenor era and has been a standing shop item ever since. At its standard price point it drew community criticism at launch, with players questioning whether cosmetic mounts should sit behind an additional paywall on top of WoW's subscription model. That debate has not aged away. If you are already uncomfortable with the way Blizzard monetises cosmetics in a subscription game, this DLC will confirm rather than resolve that discomfort. For the right buyer, though, the calculation is simpler. Mount collectors who want a distinctive arcane-themed flyer with clean animations and no grind attached will find exactly what they came for. It is not a flashy particle-effects showcase like some later shop mounts, and one community source notes it is "mostly revered for its incredibly vibrant purple colour shading" rather than any standout mechanical flourish. That is an honest summary. It is a well-made, visually cohesive mount that does one thing and does it quietly well. Just go in knowing that is the full scope of what you are purchasing.
