I've sunk hours into Chaosbane's base roster, and Jurgen Haider is a competent addition if you want a ranged-melee hybrid. He's built around dual-wielding pistols and a sword, which sounds versatile on paper but locks you into a specific rhythm: kite, burst-fire, close in, repeat. The DLC doesn't reinvent the hack-and-slash formula; it just gives you another toolkit to execute it with. What works: his pistol animations are snappy, and online co-op performance remains stable. What doesn't: the character lacks the wild build variety that makes Chaosbane's core roster worth theory-crafting around. If you're already invested in the game and want a fresh damage type, grab it. If you're fence-sitting on the base game, buy that first.
