Caribbean Skies bolts drones onto Tropico 6's familiar formula of island management and political posturing. If you've spent time building banana republics and crushing rebellions, you know what you're getting: placement puzzles, resource juggling, and the satisfying click of watching your economy tick over. Drones add a surveillance and strike layer that works on paper, but they slot into existing systems rather than upending them. The real value here depends entirely on whether you've exhausted the base game and want more of the same sandbox. The multiplayer modes lean into competitive drone warfare, which is where things get spicy if you have friends willing to spend the time to learn yet another subsystem. Solo players might find it feels tacked-on after the campaign wraps. It's a competent expansion with decent mechanical depth, but don't buy this expecting revolutionary change to how Tropico plays.
