The Survivor drops you into a post-plague world with almost no tutorial and asks you to fight your way through infected enemies and resource scarcity. It's a humble action-adventure from a small studio, built on the bones of a classic survival formula: loot, craft, endure. The infected enemies are relentless, and managing your ammo and health items becomes the real tension. What strikes me most is the intentional quietness between encounters - long stretches of exploration and scavenging that let the desolate mood settle in. This is early access, so expect rough edges. The controls feel serviceable with a controller, but the UI won't win design awards and some mechanics feel half-baked. What matters is whether you're the kind of player who can see past the rough polish and appreciate what a solo developer is trying to build here. If you want a gritty, no-frills survival shooter with atmosphere instead of spectacle, there's something worth discovering in the ruins.
