The Monkey Business Pack is a small cosmetic add-on for The Survivalists, the island survival and monkey-training game from Team17. It does exactly one thing: it gives you hats. If you were already planning to work through that quest, the hats just show up as rewards. If you were not, this DLC gives you a reason to engage with it. That is genuinely the full scope of what is here. There is no new island, no new mechanic, no story content, no additional crafting recipes. The six monkey hats in particular are the obvious draw - anyone who has spent time training and deploying monkeys in the base game knows that those little helpers already have a lot of personality baked into their animations. Giving them tiny hats is a natural fit for the game's lighthearted aesthetic, and the art is consistent with the hand-drawn pixel style of the main game. The player hats are smaller stakes, honestly, since your character spends a lot of time in third-person and the visibility of your own hat depends on how close you zoom. With only 57 reviews to go on, the Very Positive rating reflects a small but satisfied audience. Most of those buyers almost certainly already loved The Survivalists and wanted to support it or complete the content slate. That is probably the correct framing for this DLC: it is a thank-you gesture for fans, not an entry point for anyone on the fence about the base game. If you are playing co-op - which is where The Survivalists genuinely shines - the monkey hats do add a shared laugh to sessions. Coordinating your monkey workforce is already one of the more chaotic and entertaining parts of the game, and customizing that workforce adds a small but real layer of expression. For solo players the value is lower but not zero, especially if you are the type who cares about screenshots and the visual cohesion of your camp. The honest answer to whether this is worth picking up is: only if you already own and actively play The Survivalists. It has no standalone value and adds nothing to systems or longevity. But for players who are still on the island, still sending monkeys out to chop wood and haul supplies, a hat pack that ties to an existing side quest is a gentle, well-crafted little addition that respects the game's tone.
