Turn-based battles reward positioning over button mashing: terrain, weapon triangle, unit formations all matter. No filler fetch quests, no endless stat grinding. What holds it back is modest production value and a mid-game difficulty spike that can feel unfair before you realize the game rewards planning three turns ahead.
