Sol Divide is a low-budget action-RPG that feels like it wandered out of the late 90s PC underground. You play as Vorg, chasing rumors of Seirei stones that a demonic army is hoarding, which is as much plot as you're getting. The core loop is straightforward: slash demons, collect treasure, upgrade your gear, repeat. Combat is basic but functional, with enough sword-and-sorcery flavor to keep things moving if you're not expecting complexity. The real catch is that this game has zero modern quality-of-life polish. UI is clunky, mechanics feel dated, and there's no tutorial to speak of. You'll figure out what works through trial and error, which is either charming retro or frustrating depending on your patience. Sol Divide exists in that weird space where it's too niche to recommend broadly, but if you're hunting for obscure fantasy action games with zero hype attached, it won't waste your time. Just go in knowing you're salvaging something, not discovering a hidden gem.
