I went in blind on SickBrick knowing almost nothing, and that's probably the right way to play it. This is a low-budget indie action game that prioritizes personality over polish, with combat that feels deliberately arcade-inspired and a visual aesthetic that doesn't apologize for being weird. The core loop is straightforward hack-and-slash territory, but the game clearly has opinions about pacing and enemy design that won't click for everyone. It's scrappy in the best and worst ways: ambitious enough to be interesting, rough enough to be frustrating. If you're the type who tolerates janky controls and placeholder-feeling UI in exchange for a game that feels like one person's unfiltered vision, there's something here.
