SaGa: Scarlet Grace
A turn-based JRPG with one of the franchise's most open-ended designs, letting you ignore the story entirely if you want to just grind and craft.
Veredicto de GamerScout
For completionists and series devotees willing to forge their own path; confusing for anyone wanting a traditional JRPG narrative.

SaGa: Scarlet Grace strips away the rigid story structure most JRPGs cling to. You pick one of four protagonists, then largely ignore the main narrative and do whatever you want: hunt monsters, run a business, recruit allies, or chase side quests into the weeds. The turn-based combat is solid, with a growth system tied to what you actually do in battle rather than a fixed leveling curve, which keeps encounters unpredictable. The problem is the game doesn't hold your hand, and the lack of direction can feel more abandoned than liberated, especially if you're hoping for a cohesive story payoff. This is for players who loved older SaGa games' weirdness and got frustrated with modern JRPGs' obsession with linear plots. If you need narrative structure and clear objectives, the freedom here reads as aimlessness. But if you're the type who enjoys making your own goals in an RPG sandbox, Scarlet Grace rewards curiosity with strange builds, hidden recruitables, and enough systems depth to dig into for dozens of hours.
