Putt-Putt® Goes to the Moon

I've got to be honest: Putt-Putt Goes to the Moon is squarely built for younger players, not the nostalgic adults who grew up with the original series. A freak accident at the Fireworks Factory sends our protagonist to the lunar surface, where you'll solve simple inventory puzzles, click on objects to advance the story, and help various moon residents get unstuck. The art is charming in a late-90s point-and-click way, and the puzzles are forgiving enough that kids won't hit frustration walls. What works is the gentle pacing and the fact that failure isn't really an option - you explore, click things, collect items, and move forward. What doesn't is that there's very little challenge here even for the intended age group, and the scope is modest. If you're buying this for a young child who enjoys adventure games without combat or complexity, it'll hold their attention for an afternoon. Everyone else can skip it.
