I went in expecting Psychonauts' signature surreal humor translated to VR, and that's mostly what I got. You're exploring a mental world as Raz, solving environmental puzzles that lean hard on first-person perspective and spatial reasoning. The motion controls feel natural for manipulation and exploration, and the art direction, all that warped, Dali-esque geometry, actually benefits from being inside the headset. Story-wise, it does the job as a narrative gap-filler between games without overselling itself. The catch: this is a bridge game, not a centerpiece. Puzzle design is clever but occasionally obtuse, and the VR exclusivity (it never left PS4) means most PC players never experienced it. If you're a Psychonauts devotee who has access to it through emulation or somehow own the original hardware, it's worth the detour. Everyone else shouldn't expect their life to change.
