Six brutally clever jungle kitchens that will humiliate anyone who thought they had mastered the base game. Bring a co-op partner you actually like.

I run a tight ship when it comes to DLC value assessments, so let me lay out what you are actually getting here before anything else: six new levels, six new playable chefs, a jungle visual theme, and a helicopter on the world map. That is the full inventory. Ghost Town Games and Team17 did not pad this out with a story campaign, new recipes, or additional achievements, and that absence is something you should weigh honestly before clicking purchase. What the content lacks in breadth, the level design largely makes up for in ruthlessness. The Lost Morsel drops you into ancient jungle ruins with no warm-up round. From the opening level, the kitchen itself is working against you: conveyor belts split workstations across two zones, moving shelves drift your chopping boards out of reach mid-prep, and buttons randomly shuffle your supply layout mid-service. Fireballs erupt from the floor while you are trying to assemble a chicken burrito. Phantom pots and pans chase you around the arena as the timer ticks down. None of this is exaggerated for effect. It is what the levels literally do. The six unlockable chefs, including a robot, a panda, a bear, a pig, a dinosaur, and a french bulldog, are cosmetic rewards rather than mechanical ones, but unlocking them gives you a forward-momentum loop through what is otherwise a very short run. The difficulty curve deserves a separate paragraph because it is steep and intentional. The game itself warns you to clear the main campaign first, and that recommendation is not cautious box-ticking. These levels are calibrated for players who have already internalized Overcooked's kitchen flow: who calls out dish orders, who handles washing, who runs plates. If you try to jump in here without that vocabulary established with your co-op partner, the moving stations and single-chef-only corridor areas will end the session in under twenty minutes of mutual recrimination. Played with a practiced partner or a three-to-four-player split-screen group that has cleared the base game, those same constraints become genuinely satisfying coordination puzzles rather than frustrating chaos. The honest critique is that The Lost Morsel feels close to the boundary of what a DLC should be. No new recipes means your muscle memory from the base game carries over untested. No new achievements means there is limited external reward for three-starring every level. The lack of a conclusion screen after completing all six arenas is a small but symbolic disappointment: the credits do not roll, nothing unlocks, the game just returns you to the map. For co-op couch sessions with the right crowd, none of that will matter much in the moment. For solo players trying to squeeze value out of every minute, it will. Diego, Scout Team

Veredicto de GamerScout

Worth it for base-game veterans who want a brutal co-op challenge; too thin and too hard for newcomers going in cold.
