The downside is scope. You're working with the same ~200 common words repeatedly across languages, which means mastery comes fast but the game doesn't deepen much after that. It's best as a vocabulary refresher or warm-up for serious language study, not a standalone course. If you want a low-stakes puzzle game that respects your time and touches multiple languages, it delivers. Expect 5-10 hours before the novelty plateaus.
