Math Rescue is a straightforward edutainment platformer from 1992 (re-released in 2014) that wraps basic arithmetic drills in a silly villain-vs-hero premise. You jump through single-screen levels, dodge enemies, and collect missing numbers by answering math questions. The framing is campy and nostalgic rather than cringey, and the platforming itself is responsive enough to stay fun for short sessions. If you're looking for something genuinely educational with teeth, this isn't it - the puzzles max out at simple addition and subtraction. But as a kid's introduction to timed mental math wrapped in retro gaming charm, it's harmless and moves briskly enough not to overstay its welcome.
