I went in expecting a stripped-down tower-defense romp, and Mankind Defender delivers exactly that, no Steam page, no hype, just waves of enemies and towers to place. The core loop works: you're defending humanity from invaders, you unlock new defensive units as you progress, and there's a genuine satisfaction to chaining together smart placements. The problem kicks in hard once the difficulty ramps up; the game stops explaining its own mechanics and expects you to trial-and-error your way through late-game waves that feel less like puzzles and more like punishment. It's rough around the edges and doesn't hold your hand, which some players will love and others will abandon after thirty minutes. Worth a shot if you like old-school tower-defense with zero hand-holding, but don't expect polish or a forgiving difficulty curve. It's the kind of game you'll either click with immediately or bounce off completely.
