Leisure Suit Larry 7 - Love for Sail
Al Lowe's final Larry adventure puts the polyester-clad loser on a cruise ship where cheating at absurd contests is the only path to romance. Classic '90s point-and-click at its most polished, warts and all.
Veredicto de GamerScout
Best for retro point-and-click fans who can tolerate peak-'90s crude humor in exchange for a genuinely well-designed puzzle structure.

Acerca de Leisure Suit Larry 7 - Love for Sail
Leisure Suit Larry 7 - Love for Sail is a point-and-click adventure originally developed by Sierra On-Line in 1996 and brought to Steam by Assemble Entertainment in late 2017 via ScummVM. It is the last Larry game written by series creator Al Lowe, and it shows - this is the most mechanically refined entry in the original run, cleaning up friction points that plagued its predecessors while leaning harder into the series' signature juvenile humor. The setup is vintage Larry. Dumped again, balding lounge lizard Larry Laffer boards the cruise ship PMS Bouncy and discovers a shipboard mega-contest called the Thygh's Man Trophy - a series of events including horseshoes on the Poop Deck, a Craps Tournament, the LoveMaster 2000 sexual prowess test, a best-dressed competition, and a Captain's Cook-Off. Larry cannot win any of these fairly, so most puzzles revolve around cheating in increasingly ridiculous ways. The structure is clever: each contest acts as a self-contained puzzle chain, giving the game a tighter sense of progress than the open-ended resort of Larry 6. A full ship map lets you jump instantly to any room, eliminating the tedious backtracking that made earlier entries frustrating. The context-sensitive cursor (famously shaped like a condom) replaces icon bars, and you can still type your own verbs if you want to poke at the parser for hidden reactions. What the game does exceptionally well is comedic density. Every room, item description, and conversation is stuffed with wordplay, visual gags, and celebrity parodies. The full voice cast - led by Neil Ross as the narrator - sells the silliness reliably. A hidden "naughty points" system rewards players who find every off-color interaction, and 32 collectible easter eggs (the game's running "Where's DiIdo" gag) give completionists a reason to click every pixel. The cartoon art style has held up better than the FMV contemporaries it competed against, and Steam reviews sit at a very positive 91% from around 150 players. That said, go in with clear expectations. The humor is wall-to-wall innuendo and juvenile shock gags - funny in concentrated doses, exhausting if the rhythm doesn't click for you. Some puzzles are logically sound, others are deliberately absurd in ways that will send you to a walkthrough without shame. The Steam version runs through ScummVM, which is stable, but a handful of forum posts flag intermittent crashes on some configurations - worth noting before you commit to a longer session. And this is emphatically a product of 1996: the game's treatment of its female characters is exactly as dated as you'd expect from the era, which is either part of the nostalgia hit or a dealbreaker depending on your tolerance. For fans of classic Sierra adventures or anyone who grew up with the original Larry series, this is the version of the game that fires on the most cylinders. First-timers curious about '90s point-and-click comedy could do worse than starting here, as long as they know what genre they're buying into.
