The honest caveat is that none of these characters change how the game plays in any meaningful way. LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga does not build deep mechanical differences between characters - combat roles are broad, and swapping in a Mandalorian helmet does not unlock new traversal options or puzzle solutions locked behind it. You are paying for variety and the enjoyment of playing as characters the base game did not include. That is a fair exchange for some players and a non-starter for others, so know which camp you are in before buying. Families playing split-screen co-op get the most straightforward value here, since having a wider pool of characters to argue over is genuinely part of the fun at that age. Solo completionists chasing 100 percent will want to check whether any of the included packs contain characters flagged as needed for specific challenges before committing - some packs matter more than others for that crowd. The bundle pricing makes more sense than buying the individual packs separately if more than three or four of the included sets interest you. As DLC goes, Character Collection 1 is exactly what it advertises and nothing more. No surprises, no hidden depth, no disappointments beyond the ceiling it sets for itself from the start.
