KWAAN is a compact action-RPG that does what it sets out to do without pretense. You're moving through dungeons, fighting enemies in real-time combat, and collecting loot to improve your gear. It's the kind of game that doesn't demand 80 hours of your life; it respects the setup and moves on. The combat feels snappy enough, and the art direction has that Ankama charm if you've played anything from their portfolio. The main downside: it's light on story and short on innovation. There's no online community to speak of at this point, so expect a solo experience. But if you want a straightforward dungeon-crawler that doesn't overstay its welcome and doesn't require a gaming guide to figure out what you're doing, KWAAN delivers that without apology.
