I went in expecting a tie-in cash grab. Escape Game - Fort Boyard 2022 is actually competent: a series of bite-sized puzzles organized around the TV show's fort setting, with logic that clicks once you parse the sometimes cryptic clues. Each room is self-contained, so you can pick it up for 15 minutes or burn through the whole thing in an afternoon. The art style is charmingly lo-fi, and there's enough variety to keep things interesting if you're into spatial reasoning and pattern-spotting. That said, it's a 2018 port wearing a 2022 label, and it shows. The controls feel clunky on Xbox, hint systems are sparse, and once you've solved each puzzle there's zero replay value. This is a "rainy Sunday with family" game, not a deep experience. If you like Baba Is You or The Witness, keep walking. If you want a chill, gentle puzzle break that respects your time, this delivers exactly that.
