If you're a returning player or someone who skipped entire seasons, this is a straightforward way to catch up on gear and story beats without farming old activities. The catch: you're paying for content Bungie already made, and the seasonal structure that made these items feel valuable in 2021 doesn't apply anymore. This lands for players who want to fill out their exotic collection or experience skipped story arcs, but not for active Destiny 2 players already sitting on most of this stuff. It's convenience wrapped in a collection bundle, nothing more.
