DesertLand 2115 is a third-person shooter set in a wasteland that wants to be a full open-world sandbox. The premise is solid: explore, scavenge, and survive in a sun-baked wasteland with gunplay at the center. The game does give you room to wander and shoot things without a rigid story railroading every move, which is genuinely rare for indie action games from this era. Here's the catch: it's from 2016, and it plays like it. The gunplay is serviceable but not tight, environments repeat, and the world feels more sparse than intentionally desolate. If you're chasing technical polish or AAA-level design, this isn't your game. But if you're the type who enjoys scrappy indie titles that at least tried something bigger than a corridor shooter, and you don't mind clunky production values, there's a game here worth your time.
