The mechanics aren't complex, but they're interconnected enough that early decisions matter. You'll spot the value of a 200-credit trade run when it compounds into a monopoly three hours later. The UI stays clean and the tutorial doesn't waste your time, which matters for a game that's really about long-term planning and empire-building. Ninety-three percent positive reviews suggest the core loop resonates. Depth-wise, it's not Paradox grand strategy, but it's the kind of game where you'll restart twice because you want to try a different build-order. Missing a Metacritic score at launch doesn't worry me; the community has spoken, and this scratches an underexplored itch.
