I went into Adam Wolfe expecting a traditional hidden-object game, and that's partly what I got, but Mad Head Games uses the format as scaffolding for something moodier. You're playing a private investigator drawn into cases that blur the line between mundane crime and the supernatural. The four episodes stack a narrative that actually builds instead of resetting, which is rarer than you'd think in the point-and-click genre. Visually it nails that pulp-noir aesthetic, all desaturated colors and rain-slicked streets. The trade-off: puzzles are straightforward to the point of autopilot, and if you're hunting for challenge, you'll finish each episode in a sitting or two. It's not trying to break your brain, it's trying to get you invested in the story and atmosphere, which it does effectively enough. Best suited for players who want a low-stakes mystery romp rather than head-scratchers.
