A Knight's Quest
A 2019 action-platformer that swings for charming adventure but lands as a mid-tier budget title with uneven pacing and forgettable combat.

Acerca de A Knight's Quest
I went in expecting a colorful romp, the box art promised whimsy and sword-swinging heroics, but A Knight's Quest feels like it was assembled from a checklist rather than passion. You're hacking through hordes of forgettable enemies with a sword that never feels weighty, solving puzzles that aren't clever enough to justify the stops between action sequences. The platforming is serviceable but safe, leaning hard on double-jumps and wall-clings without much invention. There's a skeleton of a decent adventure here: the game moves at a brisk pace, the visuals are colorful enough to keep things from feeling oppressive, and it knows not to outstay its welcome. But Metacritic's 62 sits about right. If you love old-school action-adventure and want something light that won't frustrate you, this scratches that itch in two to four hours. Everyone else should wait for a sale or skip entirely. Substance matters more than charm when you're paying full price.
