GamerScout Verdict
Competent tactics grind for players who want unit unlocks over story, with viable multiplayer if the small ranked pool isn't dead.

About Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Storm Ground
I went in expecting a Warhammer IP check-the-box game, and Storm Ground surprised me: the turn-based combat is snappy, unit positioning matters, and each roguelike run lets you unlock new troops and loadouts. Three playable factions (Stormcast, Nighthaunt, Orruk) feel distinct enough to warrant multiple playthroughs. The meat is here, viable build variety, decent AI skirmishes, and cross-platform multiplayer for head-to-head ranked matches. Downside: narrative is gossamer-thin, campaign progression is grind-heavy if you want all faction bells, and the tutorial undersells some unit synergies. Runs plateau fast on lower difficulties, so you're playing for completion and PvP ranking, not story payoff. If you're a tactics player hunting 30-50 hours of no-frills army-building and turn-order puzzles, this hits that spot. Don't expect cinematic storytelling or Deep Warhammer lore integration. It's lean, modular, and honest about what it is: a competent roguelike deckbuilder in armour.
