Toybox Turbos

I went in expecting a lighthearted kart racer in the vein of Micro Machines, and Toybox Turbos mostly delivers on that premise. Racing Hot Wheels and toy cars through household environments is genuinely fun, the track design is creative, and the single-player campaign has enough personality to keep casual players entertained for an afternoon. The problem is 2014-era kart racing hasn't aged particularly well here. The handling feels loose, rubberberbanding AI is aggressive, and online multiplayer is basically dead. Split-screen works fine for couch co-op, but you're playing with friends who might have free options they'd rather load up instead. Toybox Turbos is a solid weekend distraction if you find it cheap, but it's not essential unless you're hunting specifically for household-themed racing nostalgia. Modern alternatives offer more refinement and active communities.
