About Souldiers
Souldiers wears its influences plainly: you'll recognize the stamina-management combat and bonfire-like checkpoints borrowed from the souls template, layered over interconnected maps that reward backtracking and a chunky pixel-art style that channels 16-bit action games. The foundation is solid. Combat demands patience and positioning, exploration opens up gradually as you unlock new abilities, and the world design respects your time spent learning its layout. The problem is cohesion. Puzzle platforming sections feel bolted on rather than woven in, and the game struggles to balance difficulty spikes with fair telegraphing. If you're the type who loves methodical, exploratory action games and can tolerate some rough edges in level design, there's a decent 15-20 hour adventure here. Just know it's not a refined take on any single formula it borrows from.
