SCP: Secret Files

I went in expecting a typical found-footage horror slog, but SCP: Secret Files leans hard into atmosphere and mystery instead. It's a story-rich adventure set in the SCP Foundation's sprawling canon, where you're piecing together classified documents, encountering anomalies, and uncovering why reality isn't what you thought. The pacing respects your time, and the writing assumes you'll actually care about the world instead of just farming jump scares. The trade-off: if you're not already familiar with SCP lore or invested in slow-burn narrative, the appeal evaporates fast. There's minimal combat, no build variety to speak of, and the adventure bits are dialogue-heavy. It's a niche game for people who read creepypasta forums at 2 AM. If that's you, this is exactly your speed.
