I spent two hours with Mystery of Silence, and what struck me most was how little it tries to shout. This is a lean, intentional point-and-click adventure built by a solo developer who understands that restraint is its own kind of power. You guide William through an abbey where the absence of sound becomes as meaningful as any dialogue tree. The puzzle design respects your intelligence without being obtuse, and the hand-drawn aesthetic carries real warmth beneath the creeping dread of the narrative. The game knows exactly how long it needs to be. At around 2-3 hours, it doesn't overstay its welcome, which is rare restraint in indie adventure design. If you loved Oxenfree or Night in the Woods for their ability to build unease through atmosphere rather than jump scares, this will resonate. It's a small game, but it's crafted with the kind of care that makes small games memorable.
