Rubinite

I spent a few hours with Rubinite and appreciated what it doesn't do: no padding, no filler fetch quests, no XP grinds to artificially inflate playtime. Ruby's mechanic is elegantly simple, her eyes expose weak points on the Bloodstained monsters you face, and the combat loops around reading tells and striking when openings appear. It's a boss-rush structure, so every encounter feels designed with intention rather than procedural filler. The dark fantasy aesthetic works, the controller support is solid, and 89% positive on Steam suggests the core loop satisfies people who want lean, mechanical challenge. The trade-off is obvious: this isn't a 100-hour narrative epic or a sprawling skill tree. If you want a tightly scoped action game that respects your time and delivers precision combat without bloat, Rubinite lands. If you're hunting for character arcs or worldbuilding depth, look elsewhere.
