About Near Impact
Near Impact pairs tower-defense foundation with RTS-lite base management: you build and position defensive structures to intercept incoming asteroids across multiple waves. Resource economy is tight, forcing prioritization of upgrades over expansion. The core loop is solid for what it is, positioning matters, timing matters, and late-game waves demand actual tactical thinking rather than just clicking faster. The catch: this is a 2014 indie title with UI that shows its age and zero quality-of-life niceties. Tutorial is minimal, AI doesn't break new ground, and the single-player campaign has minimal story wrapper. If you want deep strategic decision-making married to a tower-defense core without modern polish, this scratches that itch. Otherwise, you're paying for a proof-of-concept that never got a second pass. Diego, Scout Team
