About Monster Energy Supercross 6 - Customization Pack Pixel Blast (DLC) (PS4/PS5)
If you've been staring at the same rider gear and bike liveries in Monster Energy Supercross 6 for a few months and want something a bit more chaotic on the track, the Pixel Blast Customization Pack drops a retro 8-bit aesthetic into the mix. We're talking pixelated patterns, blocky color schemes, and that deliberately low-res visual style that's been making a comeback across basically every genre. It's a cosmetic-only drop from Milestone, so your lap times stay exactly where they are. This is strictly a vanity pack. There are no new tracks, no new game modes, no bike handling tweaks, and no additional riders. What you get is a set of pixel-art themed customization items you can apply to your gear and machine inside the existing creation suite. If you're already deep into Supercross 6's customization options and enjoy personalizing your loadout before online races or split-screen sessions with friends, this gives you a fresh visual direction to play with. The 8-bit look does stand out on track, especially against riders running more realistic paint jobs. For the four-friends-on-the-couch crowd, there's a mild entertainment factor here. Showing up to a local split-screen race with a rider dressed like a character ripped out of a Game Boy cartridge gets a laugh the first time. Whether it gets a second laugh is another matter. The Shared/Split Screen PvP support in the base game means this DLC's cosmetics are visible to everyone in the room, which does at least mean your questionable fashion choices have an audience. Hardware-wise, since this is cosmetic DLC there's nothing to factor in on the wheel or pedal setup side. Full controller support carries over from the base game, and Steam Cloud sync means your freshly pixelated loadout travels with you. Steam Achievements are listed as a feature on the base game but don't expect a new achievement haul from a cosmetic pack. Bottom line: this only makes sense if you're already a committed Supercross 6 player who genuinely uses the customization suite and wants a retro-flavored wardrobe refresh. If you're still on the fence about the base game, start there first.
