Let's get the important thing out of the way first: this is not a gameplay expansion. The Fauna Faire Adventure Pass is a cosmetic battle pass tied to Minecraft Dungeons' third seasonal adventure, released in October 2022. It unlocks a premium reward track in the Adventure Hub sitting alongside a free tier that everyone gets regardless. Buying the pass gates you into 50 exclusive rewards, which include mob-themed character skins, pet companions (a hedgehog, red panda, emperor penguin, ferret, raccoon, skunk, and more), the Cow Crusader Cape, a howl emote, and various respawn, healing, level-up, and mob flairs for your camp. If cosmetic grind rewards are your thing, there is a genuinely charming pile of stuff here. The actual season content that came with Fauna Faire at no extra cost is worth knowing about. Mojang added Tower multiplayer so you and up to three friends can tackle the roguelike Tower mode together for the first time, which is a legitimate co-op win for a game that already handles couch and online co-op pretty well. There is also the Treetop Tangle, a free jungle biome mission set around a giant climbable ancient tree on Jungle Island, with some exclusive gear drops including the Soul Totem of Casting artifact, Root Rot armor, and the Black Spot unique armor. That content is free to every Dungeons owner. The Adventure Pass adds zero new missions or combat floors on top of it. For groups - and yes, this passes the four-friends-on-a-couch test for the base game - Tower multiplayer was genuinely the headline feature here. Being able to run the procedurally generated Tower floors with your crew rather than solo is a meaningful addition. The pass itself, though, does nothing to change how the game plays. It is a cosmetic unlock tool, full stop. Worth noting too: Fauna Faire was the last major content update Minecraft Dungeons ever received. Mojang has since wound down active development on the title, so this is as far as the seasonal content goes. Who should pick this up? Completionists and players who already put real hours into Minecraft Dungeons and want to dress their camp up in animal flair. Parents buying for younger kids who love the pets will get value from the cute factor alone. Casual players who dipped in, finished the campaign, and moved on will find nothing here that pulls them back. If you haven't bought the base game's actual DLC expansions yet (Jungle Awakens, Creeping Winter, Howling Peaks, Flames of the Nether, Hidden Depths, Echoing Void), prioritise those every time. They add levels, gear, and bosses. This adds a hedgehog you can put in your camp.
