If you've played the original Golden Idol game, the format will feel familiar: examine objects, talk to suspects, and figure out what actually happened. The puzzle design favors careful observation over twitch reflexes, which means patient players will get more out of it than those looking for spectacle. What works is the focused scope. Three scenarios means no padding, no filler between the good stuff. What might frustrate you: these puzzles don't hold your hand, and the deduction logic occasionally hinges on details that feel almost too specific. This DLC is squarely for people who already enjoy this series and want more of the same. If you've never played a Golden Idol game before, the base game is the better entry point.
