About Girl Amazon Survival
My first instinct when looking at the data on Girl Amazon Survival was to check the last developer update date - and that number tells you almost everything you need to know: the last patch landed over nine years ago. This is a textbook Early Access title that never left Early Access, built by a solo-scale indie outfit and left to sit. The premise is crash-land amnesia survival in an open world full of dead cities, abandoned factories, radioactive zones, and caves. On paper, that checklist is fine. In practice, the execution is the problem. The feature set is broader than you would expect for this tier. The weapon roster runs from primitive spears and bows all the way to miniguns, flamethrowers, grenade launchers, and sniper rifles. You can switch between first-person and third-person perspective, drive vehicles, swim, build shelters by chopping trees for resources, and set traps to defend your base. There is also a dynamic day-night cycle and a multiplayer component that lets you host or join servers for co-op or PvP. On a spreadsheet, that looks like a generous feature set. The catch is that the controls are reported to be genuinely awkward - community threads mention an inability to look around with the mouse in certain states - and the visuals are rudimentary even by 2016 indie standards. Rough controls plus dated graphics in a genre where feel and feedback are everything is a significant handicap. The community has flagged a secondary problem worth knowing: of the 22 Steam Achievements in the game, the majority are glitched and cannot be unlocked through normal play. Only around seven function correctly, and no reliable workaround has been found. That makes this a poor fit for achievement hunters and hints broadly at the polish level throughout. Steam reviews sit at a mixed 42% positive rating across roughly 170 votes, which is consistent with a project that had interesting ambitions and not enough development runway to follow through on them. So who is this for? Survival crafting fans who specifically want the lowest-friction, lowest-stakes entry point into the genre might find some novelty in the weapon variety and the open world layout. The online co-op mode is a genuine feature and could provide a couple of hours of chaotic entertainment with a patient friend. But anyone expecting a finished, mechanically solid survival experience on par with contemporaries in the genre will be disappointed fast. The AI offers no interesting decisions to manage, the game loop is shallow past the first hour of exploration, and with zero post-launch development to fix known issues, the current state is the final state.
