Forsaken Remastered

I went in expecting a museum piece, but Forsaken Remastered is surprisingly playable. This is a full-throttle zero-gravity deathmatch shooter from the late 90s, rebuilt for modern hardware. You're armed with a pile of sci-fi weapons and thrown into tight, 3D tunnel maps where up and down matter as much as left and right. Single-player is barebones (bot matches, survival), but the multiplayer hooks are the draw: pure momentum-based combat with power-ups scattered through each level. If you've played Quake III or Unreal Tournament competitively, you'll recognize the rhythm immediately. The learning curve is steep because spatial awareness in zero-G isn't intuitive, and the netcode can feel unforgiving. What works is the sheer speed and weapon balance. What doesn't is that there's almost no community left, so matchmaking is... optimistic. You're buying this to either relive childhood or study late-90s multiplayer design. If neither applies, move on.
