FOMOGRAPHY

I spent time with FOMOGRAPHY expecting a game about nostalgia, but what I found was something more fragile. You inhabit an old man retracing his life through the lens of a child's camera, exploring hand-painted environments and talking to people who shaped him. The core mechanic is gentle: frame and capture moments, then sit with what those photos reveal or conceal. There's no puzzle-solving or inventory busywork. Just observation and the slow ache of remembering. The pixel art is deliberately muted, almost watercolor-soft, which pairs perfectly with the game's refusal to rush. Some will find the pacing glacial. If you're comfortable with 4-6 hours of introspection and you care about how a story *feels* rather than what it *does*, this is worth the quiet time it demands. It knows exactly when to end.
