Three American and European maps give you different logistical footprints to work with, and more than 400 licensed machines from John Deere, CLAAS, Kubota, Fendt, Massey Ferguson, and others mean your equipment choices carry real operational weight. The in-game mod hub extends that further, with developer-tested community mods covering almost any gap the base roster leaves behind. The Year 1 Season Pass component adds the Zetor 25 K, the Antonio Carraro pack of compact Italian tractors well-suited to tight fieldwork, the Kubota pack, the Vermeer pack for expanded harvesting and baling options, and the ERO Grapeliner Series 7000 as a bonus. The headline addition is the Platinum Expansion, which brings a full new map and a concentrated set of machines oriented around forestry and logging operations. The vehicle packs, honestly, are secondary for newcomers. They fill niche slots in equipment rosters that new players have not yet discovered they need. That is also the main honest criticism of the Year 1 pass structure: three of its five components are machinery drops. Players approaching FS22 for the first time will not yet have an equipment gap to fill, so the Kubota and Vermeer packs will sit unused for the first 30-plus hours. The Season Pass was designed for committed players who had already logged time with the base game, which creates a slight awkwardness when it is bundled with the base game for newcomers. Community reception to the Season Pass itself has been mixed for this reason, with the negative sentiment clustered around perceived value of the individual machine packs rather than the quality of the base game or the Platinum Expansion. The base game, by contrast, carries very strong community approval.
