Dangerous Lands 2 - Evil Ascension
A solo action-RPG where you play the villain trying to build an evil empire, but the execution is thin and the mechanics don't justify the premise.

About Dangerous Lands 2 - Evil Ascension
I went in curious about the angle: an indie action game where you're explicitly the bad guy trying to spread your influence and "prosperity" across a fantasy world. The core loop involves combat encounters and light strategy decisions about resource management and territory control. It's mechanically shallow though - the action combat lacks feedback, the strategic layer feels disconnected from what you're actually doing in encounters, and progression doesn't meaningfully escalate the stakes or complexity. The game tries to blend too many genres without mastering any of them. For strategy enthusiasts, there's not enough simulation depth to reward planning or experimentation. For action fans, combat feels more like placeholder animation than intentional design. The presentation is functional but unremarkable. If you're looking for a game where you genuinely feel like you're building something dark and threatening, this doesn't deliver that fantasy convincingly enough. Diego, Scout Team
