Carmageddon Max Pack

I fired up Carmageddon expecting pure '90s anarchic brilliance, and honestly? The core idea still holds: drive anywhere, crush anything that moves, and forget about racing lines. Pedestrians, livestock, rival drivers in absurd vehicles, they're all targets. The freeform destruction gameplay is genuinely liberating compared to track-bound racers, and the dark comedy hits different even now. The catch is that this is a 1997 game playing like it, full stop. Controls feel floaty and imprecise, the camera fights you constantly, and graphical simplicity means you'll squint at the screen. Multiplayer exists but is clunky. If you're nostalgic for early-90s carnage or want to experience where "racing for wimps" jokes came from, go in eyes open. Everyone else should probably skip it.
