Cross-platform spending applies here too: points you buy on Xbox stay on Xbox, though cosmetic items you purchase with those points do transfer across linked Activision accounts on other platforms. That's a meaningful detail if you play across hardware. Now for context on the game those points feed into. MW3 launched in November 2023 to a genuinely split reception. Steam reviews sit at 44% positive across nearly twenty thousand reviews, which is rough. The criticism landed heaviest on the campaign, widely regarded as thin for a premium-priced title, and on technical roughness at launch. Multiplayer is a different story.
