About Angels vs Demons
I went in expecting a stripped-down tower-defense loop, and that's what Angels vs Demons delivers. You place angel units on a grid to intercept incoming demon attacks across what amounts to a series of static boards. The core mechanic is solid enough: position your forces, watch them engage, rinse and repeat. Depth is minimal though. Unit variety is limited, strategic build variety is almost non-existent, and the AI doesn't punish smart positioning hard enough to make placement decisions feel consequential. At this price point, it's not a disaster. The game works, runs clean, and won't demand hours you didn't intend to give. But it's also instantly forgettable. There's no progression system to chase, no upgrade tree worth optimizing, no reason to restart after clearing the campaign. If you're hunting a 90-minute tower-defense fix with zero friction, it fits. If you're looking for strategic meat, look elsewhere.
