GamerScout Verdict
Fun co-op romp for a weekend, but the grind outlasts the novelty by hour 20.

About Almighty: Kill Your Gods Ancestor Edition
I went in expecting Godstomper: The Game and got something closer to a loot-treadmill with momentum. Almighty strips combat down to running, leaping, and flying across islands while you dismantle demons and gods for crafting materials. The co-op works, the traversal feels snappy, and there's genuine fun in the first 10 hours watching your home rebuild from corpse remains. But 60% positive reviews hint at what I suspect: the endgame collapses into XP padding, and the procedural islands blur together fast. Build variety exists on paper, but the core loop doesn't evolve enough to justify extended play. If you want a weekend co-op romp with friends and don't mind a shallow endgame, grab it on sale. Otherwise, Almighty feels like a game still searching for its identity after Early Access limbo. The bones are there, but the flesh isn't.
