I'll be direct: AirShock is a niche title that doesn't quite commit to being either a tactical strategy game or an action shooter, and it suffers for it. You start as a pilot and climb to general rank, commanding helicopter operations in counter-terrorism scenarios. The core loop involves real-time combat mixed with light strategic layer decision-making, but neither half feels deep enough to carry the game solo. The UI is utilitarian rather than elegant, and there's no tutorial that actually respects your time. What keeps it from being a complete wash is local co-op. If you have a friend on the couch willing to experiment with split-screen helicopter combat, there's some chaotic fun to be had there. The campaign is serviceable if you're into military sim scenarios, but without online multiplayer or meaningful strategic depth, the single-player experience runs thin fast.
