a Story of Merchant
A 2D action-RPG from 2020 that's still in Early Access, so expect rough edges, but if you're after a low-stakes side-scroller with merchant mechanics, it's cheap enough to scratch that itch.

About a Story of Merchant
I've learned not to sleep on Early Access titles from smaller studios, and a Story of Merchant at least commits to a specific idea: trading in the old town of Ayotha while combat happens in a 2D side-scrolling format. That's a weird enough pitch that it stuck with me. The problem is the execution, five years in Early Access with minimal Steam feedback suggests the developer either hit a wall or abandoned active development. The game is playable and won't brick your save, but expect placeholder art, balance patches that never came, and mechanics that feel half-finished. If you're genuinely into resource management layered over action combat, you might find something here worth an hour or two. Just go in knowing this is a prototype, not a finished product. Don't expect regular updates or community support. Diego, Scout Team
