About 2020 AMA Pro Motocross Championship (DLC)
If you already own MX vs ATV and you have even a passing interest in real-world motocross circuits, this DLC is a straightforward proposition: twelve tracks lifted directly from the 2020 AMA Pro Motocross Championship schedule, plus the legendary Loretta Lynn's ranch circuit that any hardcore MX fan will recognise immediately. These are not fantasy layouts or generic dirt ovals. They are the actual venues, which means bumps, ruts, and rhythm sections placed where they genuinely belong. From a sim-leaning racing perspective, the track fidelity is the whole selling point here. Rainbow Studios has been modelling motocross dirt physics for a long time, and the deformation system that builds ruts over a race is at its most satisfying when you are riding a track you have watched on television. Hitting the Unadilla pro line or threading through Ironman's technical sections carries a bit of extra weight when you know what the real thing looks like. Casual riders will still find the tracks accessible enough, especially with assists turned on, but anyone who just wants a quick blast might find thirteen licensed venues a bit niche. For couch multiplayer, the split-screen PvP support is genuinely good news. Getting four friends on the same screen for a local race night on official AMA layouts is the kind of thing this pack was made for, and it holds up. Online PvP and leaderboards round out the competitive side if your crew is remote. There is no wheel or HOTAS relevance here, obviously, a gamepad is your tool, and full controller support means analogue throttle and brake feel responsive without any fiddly remapping. The honest caveat is that this is DLC, not a standalone release. If you are not already invested in the base game it does nothing for you. There is also no Metacritic score and no volume of Steam reviews to triangulate against, so you are going on faith in the track list and your own enthusiasm for the 2020 season specifically. If that season means something to you, or if you just want the most complete track roster possible for online racing with friends, the pack earns its place. If you are lukewarm on the base game, no amount of official licensing is going to change that. Riley, Scout Team
