Taxi Mode lets you explore the futuristic city on foot or by ship between races, which is a nice touch for pacing. The catch: this is a passion project with indie production values. Performance varies depending on your hardware, online multiplayer feels sparse, and there's no split-screen co-op (which would've been the killer app for a racer). Solo players and level-editor enthusiasts will find more value here than competitive racers looking for a tight, polished experience. If you're nostalgic for F-Zero vibes and don't mind rough edges, it's worth a look.
